Office Depot, Inc. (NYSE:ODP) reported that its net profit during the third-quarter soared to $100.9 million, or 28 cents a share, compared to a year ago profit of $41.3 million, or 12 cents a share. Revenue during the quarter fell 2% year-over year to $2.8 billion.
Xerox Corporation (NYSE:XRX) shares soared 0.25 (3.12%) to $8.25 in the pre-market session following the company said that it earned $320 million, or 22 cents a share on revenue of $5.58 billion during the third quarter. On an adjusted basis, the company earned 26 cents a share, ahead of analysts’ estimates of 25 cents a share on $5.58 billion of revenue.
Revenue from services rose 6%, or 5% in constant currencies.
Coach, Inc. (NYSE:COH) shares fell 1.36 (-2.17%) to $61.30 following the company said that it earned $214 million, or 74 cents a share on revenue of $1.05 billion during the first quarter, ahead of analysts’ estimates of 70 cents a share on net sales of $1.02 billion. In a year ago quarter, the compant had profit of $188.9 million, or 63 cents a share on revenue of $911.7 million.
E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company (NYSE:DD) shares jump 0.60 (1.30%) to $46.69 following the company said that it earned $452 million, or 48 cents a share per share on revenue of $9.4 billion during the third quarter. On an adjusted basis, the company earned 69 cents per share, ahead of analysts’ estimates of f 56 cents a share.
