El Paso Pipeline Partners, L.P. (NYSE: EPB) increase Dividend Payout


On Tuesday July 19, 2011, El Paso Pipeline Partners, L.P. (NYSE:EPB), a Delaware limited partnership conceived by El Paso Corporation to maintain its inheritance of storage assets and natural gas transportation pipelines announced that the Board of Directors of its general partner has made a declaration of increasing the cash distribution in terms of a $0.48 per unit quarterly for the second quarter of 2011, or $1.92 per unit annually.

As per the Press Release, in response to the close of business which is expected on July 29, all the outstanding units stocked by the respective holders as per the record will receive the said distribution on August 12, 2011.

The distribution is drafted to bring about an increase of about 20 percent as compared to the $0.40 per unit payment for the second quarter of 2010, and 4 percent increase on the $0.46 per unit payment made for the first quarter of 2011.

El Paso Pipeline Partners inherits Wyoming Interstate Company, Southern LNG Company, Elba Express Company, Southern Natural Gas Company and 86 percent in Colorado Interstate Gas Company in its congregation thereby rendering its services mainly in the southeastern region of the United States.
